Job Description

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician with extensive experience in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various systems and structures within our facilities.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00/hour  

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of building systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete larger projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial maintenance, with expertise in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
  • Experience using maintenance management software..
