Position Overview

Mountain Lake is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Head Varsity Volleyball Coach to lead our high school athletics program. This individual will be responsible for building a competitive team culture while prioritizing sportsmanship and personal development of student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct all varsity-level practices and competitions
• Develop and implement effective game strategies and training programs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team environment
• Mentor student-athletes in skill development, leadership, and character
• Collaborate with assistant coaches and athletic department staff
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, staff, and administration
• Oversee equipment, uniforms, and program budgeting

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience
• Strong knowledge of Volleyball rules, techniques, and training methods
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and connect with student-athletes
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Coaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
