About The Role

For our Mechanical Drives and Wind Business in Flender, we are searching for a Customs Specialist!

This role will be organizing all customs clearance and import & export operations together with the customs brokers based on the information from logistics and sales teams. Our business consists of product/project/service. Support to other corporate units is also required within the scope of this role.

What are my responsibilities?

• Completing required documentation for import and export operations and giving necessary instructions to customs brokers for payment and customs clearing,

• Preparing customs tax payments three times a day and sending to Poland accounting team for payment. Preparing necessary tax and goods payment's documents for local bank according to accounting approval,

• Follow-up import& export process, controlling of customs documents and payments, checking and entering SAP Data

• Collecting and controlling all the import-export documents including customs and brokers’ expenses and sending local accounting for weekly payment

• Following GEKAP process quarterly

• Working and following news and regulations with the global ECC team about embargoed countries and companies

• Follow-up export control and compliance tickets with the colleagues on SAP and Gloria-Mona Tools, preparing quarterly ECC reports to the HQ, following ECC meetings and trainings

• Responding information demands of PMs/BUs/Corporate Units in respect of import/export & order processing topics giving required support to bid phase of the projects,

• Supporting Logistics: Creating purchase requisitions & purchase orders in SAP systems, receiving order confirmations, following up orders and change orders and giving meaningful feedback to relevant parties,

• Supporting Accounting: Follow-up all business unit 3rd party invoices, sending to APOC invoice system and notifying local and Poland accounting team for good receipt and posting. Sending affiliated service invoices to local accounting according to MM's list at the end of each month,

• Supporting for IT: Supporting internal colleagues for getting authorizations for SAP PF1. Supporting external colleagues (customs brokers, local accountants, Garanti Bank personnel etc.) about Virtual Flender Desktop application for SAP PF1 system.

• Supporting Fleet Management: Creating purchase order for gas consumption according to Shell report twice a month. Creating purchase order for highway usage once a month for 5 rental car company. Preparing Fleet Report for country management once a month. Follow-up fleet invoices, sending to APOC system, notify local and Poland colleagues for good receipt and posting. Forwarding traffic penalty notifications to the relevant users and archiving the documents after the payment.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or relevant fields

• Proven experience in related field, 1-2 years

• Knowledge of Customs Legislation, Import & Export operations, contract law, basic accounting and project logistics

• Very good command of Turkish & English

• Proficiency in MS Office Applications

• SAP MM Modules knowledge will be an asset

• Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach and good interpersonal skills are required competencies.
