Logistics Specialist
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift 0700 start
Additional Hours: Occasional scheduled Saturdays
Level: Entry to Mid-Level
Position Summary
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for verifying the receipt, storage, and transportation of raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with company procedures and customer specifications. This role supports operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery through effective logistics coordination and documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare, inspect, label, package, and ship finished goods in accordance with product specifications and shipping procedures
Plan shipments with appropriate paperwork, labeling, and transportation methods
Receive incoming raw materials according to established procedures
Transport and store materials safely and accurately
Operate and understand required logistics equipment, including power industrial vehicles
Maintain accurate documentation by recording incoming materials and finished products, verifying shipment orders and lot identification, and entering data into Oracle
Perform mathematical calculations and analyze qualitative and alphanumeric data
Communicate product status clearly and effectively
Maintain clean, organized work areas and meet attendance guidelines
Follow all Quality System requirements and safety protocols
Complete required safety training and contribute to the company’s goal of zero accidents
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Attend training to maintain and enhance job knowledge
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to safely operate power industrial vehicles
Basic to intermediate computer skills, including data entry
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
