Job Description

Hours:

  • Approximately 6 hours per week

Duties:

The Teaching Assistant supports course delivery through timely, consistent grading and student support in an online learning environment. This role emphasizes high-quality feedback, accurate grade management, and professional communication with students.

Coordination Between Two TAs:

  • Participate in initial grading calibration session.
  • Periodically cross-check grading for consistency.
  • Divide workload by section, assignment type, or alphabetically.
  • Communicate regularly to resolve edge cases.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled and in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university.
  • Must have successfully completed GIGU and Men's Health.
  • Demonstrated strong performance in course assignments, particularly written or project-based work.
  • Reliable access to and familiarity with Canvas.
