Join Entech as an experienced MEP Engineer and take a leading role in delivering high-performance building systems for diverse and complex facilities. You’ll collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, guide junior staff, and drive technical excellence from concept through construction. This position is available from our headquarters in Reading, PA, or from our Lititz/Lancaster office

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Lead the design and coordination of MEP building systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems
•    Develop and review construction drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations
•    Serve as a key technical contributor on projects, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to codes and standards
•    Interface directly with clients, architects, and internal project teams to deliver high-quality consulting services
•    Perform advanced system analysis, energy modeling, and lifecycle cost evaluations
•    Conduct field investigations, condition assessments, and commissioning support
•    Mentor junior engineers and designers, supporting their development through coaching and EGSS processes
•    Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination in collaboration with Project Managers
•    Support proposal development and technical narratives for pursuits
•    Participate in QA/QC processes and continuous improvement initiatives within the Facilities business unit
•    Maintain strong utilization and contribute to project financial performance consistent with consulting business expectations

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
•    Proficiency in Revit MEP and/or AutoCAD
•    Experience with energy modeling tools (HAP, TRACE, or equivalent)
•    Familiarity with system modeling tools (e.g., Pipe-Flo, AFT Fathom) preferred
•    Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices
•    Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
•    Strong client communication and relationship management skills
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines

•    Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
•    Understanding of consulting business fundamentals including utilization, project delivery, and client satisfaction


EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
•    5–10 years of experience in MEP/building systems design within a consulting environment
•    Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or on path to licensure)
•    Strong technical background in HVAC and/or electrical systems and central utilities
•    Valid driver’s license


WORKING ENVIRONMENT
•    Primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites.
•    Potential exposure to outdoor environments during site visits.
