Connecticut Orthopaedics is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our exceptional care team. The hours vary between 7:30am and 5:30pm with shorter days on Wednesdays.

What a medical assistant will have the ability to do…

  • Play a lead role in the administrative responsibilities of a physician team
  • Connect with the patient. From scheduling to insurance coordination and more, this position plays a key role in the care process and patient experience
  • Practice communication and planning skills by coordinating with physicians, clinical MAs, surgical centers, X-ray staff, etc.
  • Utilize and grow EMR skills by documenting patient information, reviewing and distributing test results and executing necessary pre-op documentation

Skills and abilities that a medical assistant should possess…

  • Casting preferred
  • A knowledge of EMR systems
  • A positive attitude and friendly, courteous demeanor
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to comply with all HIPAA requirements

Education and experience needed…

  • A high school diploma
  • Experience working with an EMR (EPIC Preferred)
  • Two (2) or more years of medical administrative experience
