Position Overview
Intern works within the HR Department on assigned projects and tasks while being exposed to the company culture and working environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensures that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is completed/processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds
- Converts, scans, and renames documents
- Maintains the confidentiality of any information relating to individuals and employees of the organization
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with ad hoc projects and reports
- Organizes filing cabinets and virtual folders
- Always communicates in a respectful manner with all valued stakeholders including the people we support, supervisors, other valued team members, and members of the community
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education, Work Experience, and Competencies
- College undergraduate with degree in progress
- Computer literacy required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs is essential
- Must be efficient, well organized, have excellent communication skills and proficient writing skills with grasp of basic grammar and spelling
Physical Demands
- Employee is required to sit, walk and stand for prolonged period of time (at least 8 hours)
- Employee is required to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Employee is required to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax and filing cabinets
- Employee is required to be able to lift items of limited weight when needed
