2nd Shift Monday- Thursday 2:30pm to 1:00am
To set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic welding equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
- Robotic welding setup & programming (setting up jobs/fixtures, touching up robot programs, PLC troubleshooting)
- Production support (operating machinery, running production, changing gas/wire, replacing hardware)
- Quality control (checking product quality, reporting defects)
- Maintenance (preventative maintenance, minor repairs, fixture repair)
- Continuous improvement & training (standardizing procedures, training operators, improving processes)
Requirements
- EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Prior experience in manufacturing environment required, robotic/welding experience preferred.
- OTHER REQUIREMENTS: - Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required while performing duties in production areas. - Maintain organized schedules and filing. - Some computer literacy and data entry knowledge. - Experience with arc welding and/or spot welding. - Experience with industrial robots (Such as Yaskawa or Fanuc). - Basic electrical experience.
Summary
The Robotic Welding Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining robotic welding systems to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role coordinates production activities in alignment with schedules and machine capacity, programs and adjusts robotic equipment, performs preventative and minor maintenance, and ensures proper fixture setup and repair. The Technician monitors product quality, addresses weld and PLC-related issues, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and trains operators as needed. This position requires hands-on technical expertise in robotic and arc welding within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, along with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality standards.
