Position Summary
As a Product Developer, Target at Twelve, you will drive the end-to-end development of innovative, high-quality private label products across party goods, stationery, and paper categories. You’ll partner closely with creative teams, sourcing partners, and Target stakeholders to bring concepts to life—ensuring every product meets brand standards, aligns with market trends, and delivers strong commercial results. This role requires sharp execution, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.


Key Responsibilities

Client & Brand Partnership

  • Serve as the primary link between internal creative teams and factory partners, ensuring seamless execution of product and packaging concepts
  • Develop a deep understanding of Target’s brand identity, guidelines, and customer to deliver cohesive, on-brand assortments
  • Collaborate daily with design teams to incorporate new materials, formats, and production techniques into product development


Project Management

  • Own multiple product programs simultaneously, managing timelines, budgets, and quality across seasons and categories
  • Build and maintain detailed development schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Navigate competing priorities with strong judgment, flexibility, and a solutions-oriented mindset


Product Development

  • Translate creative concepts into clear, actionable product briefs, specs, and mockups
  • Develop detailed spec sheets across a range of product categories with a high level of accuracy
  • Apply knowledge of materials, finishes, and print techniques to elevate product quality and innovation


Sourcing & Costing

  • Partner with domestic and international vendors to negotiate pricing and program details across multi-SKU assortments
  • Balance cost efficiency with design integrity and brand standards


Problem Solving & Execution

  • Proactively identify risks and resolve challenges to keep development on track
  • Bring creative, resourceful thinking to deliver strong solutions within budget and timeline constraints


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product development experience, preferably in party goods, stationery, or paper products
  • Proven ability to manage the full product lifecycle from concept through production
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and print processes
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience working with domestic and overseas manufacturing partners
  • Strong negotiation and cost management skills
  • Clear and effective communicator across cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Detail-oriented with a high standard for quality and execution
  • Adaptable and comfortable working across time zones when needed
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to deliver impactful, scalable programs

Salary: $75-$85k depending on experience
