**Position Overview:**
Parsons Preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced Educational Director to lead our early childhood program serving children with disabilities alongside our Universal Pre-K classrooms. The Educational Director will provide instructional leadership, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and support a high-quality, inclusive learning environment for all students.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide leadership and oversight of all educational programming, including special education and UPK classrooms
* Supervise, coach, and evaluate teaching staff to ensure high quality instruction and best practices in early childhood education
* Ensure compliance with all state, city, and licensing regulations, including special education mandates and UPK standards
* Develop, implement, and monitor curriculum aligned with early childhood and special education frameworks
* Support the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
* Conduct classroom observations and provide ongoing professional development to staff
* Collaborate with families, therapists, and related service providers to support student progress
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for regulatory agencies
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture for staff, students, and families
* Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention
* Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met
**Qualifications:**
* New York State School Building Leader (SBL) Certification **required**
* Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
* Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education, with supervisory experience preferred
* Experience working with children with disabilities strongly preferred
* Knowledge of NYSED, DOE, and UPK regulations and standards
* Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
* Ability to support and mentor diverse teaching staff
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience in an inclusive preschool or special education setting
* Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
* Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
