Job Description

Hours: 40-45 Hours per week; 5 Day a week

Earliest Shift Start: 7:00 am        Latest Shift End Time: 1:00 am *must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and any variety of shift times between these hours.

Assist with the overall functions within the Fun Center by assisting
with  ordering food, beverages, serving
supplies, retail items, cleaning products; prepares records for analysis and
reports; insuring proper training of all employees; helping with scheduling of
all employees; directs and documents performance of employees; performs fair
reviews and evaluations of employees; upholds and enforces all policies and
procedures of the Bavarian Inn Lodge and Fun Center; sets example for others to
follow; insures quality services and products; insures safety of guests and
employees; protects all assets of the company; motivates employees; experiments
with new serving techniques, ideas, or menu items to promote sales or decrease
expenses; coordinates special events in the Fun center; insures cleanliness of
Ratskeller, including preparation and storage areas, and various items; sets
short term and long term range goals and develops strategies, budgets, and
business plans to promote the welfare of the Fun Center. Coordinates outside
events for World Expo of Beer, Car Show, 3rd of July or other
events.  Assist with outside sale of
fudge to other businesses.

BASIC
QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Minimum two years
    bartending and food service experience
  • Knowledge of beer,
    wines, and liquor from brewing or distillation to final service in a
    Dining Room situation
  • Handle pressure
    situations in a controlled fashion.
  • Food handling and
    sanitation knowledge.
  • Decisive, timely,
    organized and creative.
  • Accounting skills with
    costing, pricing and ordering techniques.
  • Good verbal, written
    communication and reporting skills.
  • Standing or walking for
    long periods of time (8-15 hrs).
  • Lifting of moderate
    weights up to 75 pounds.
  • Managerial and training
    ability to motivate, train staff and to conduct evaluations and
    reprimands.
  • Ability to carry trays
    continuously
  • Good math skills for
    handling of money and calculate cost of goods.
  • Ability to use a
    computerized POS system
