    LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport, NY 14450; O'Connor Academy

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Full-Time, Probationary

    STARTING DATE: September 2026

    SALARY RANGE: $48,500 - $78,642 per school year (of higher depending on BUP negotiations)
    *Actual salary is dependent upon education, experience and contract.


    DUTIES:
    1. Plan and provide instruction in Mathematics and Elective classes as indicated by the program for adolescent students exhibiting social, emotional, and learning needs in accordance with NYS mandates.
    2. Develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
    3. Develop, implement, and evaluate behavior intervention plans for secondary students.
    4. Work in a team environment that fosters the philosophy of collaborative planning and an interdisciplinary approach to learning.
    5. Effectively communicate with school staff, parents, districts, and community agencies. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. NYS Certification in Math 7-12 or Students with Disabilities Math 7-12 required. 
    2. NYS Certification for Students with Disabilities (Grades 7-12), or Permanent Special Education K-12 required, or willingness to obtain Students with Disabilities certification during probationary appointment (Tuition Reimbursement available).
    3. Experience with adolescent students with disabilities.
    4. Training in Life Space Crisis Intervention strategies or similar problem solving strategies preferred.
    5. Physically able to perform essential functions of position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
