Job Description

Responsible for completeness and accuracy of work leaving the Electrical Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

  1. Produce electrical bill of materials for all job quotes and orders received from sales.
  2. Review work performed by Systems draftsmen, including wiring diagram, piping diagrams, installation drawings, operating sequences, control cabinets material lists and diagram selection for burner order entry forms.
  3. Review burner, OEM data sheets, and other data sheets prepared for general use.
  4. Consult with and assist Customer Services with special circuits and parts required by job specs and customer requests.
  5. Assist Customer Services with parts orders for replacement of old, obsolete parts.
  6. Take problem calls relating to control systems. Investigate and advise corrective action to be taken. Complete any required paperwork changes to Electrical Engineering work or advise other departments of changes they may need to make.
  7. Investigate the correctness in selection & use of components when requested to do so.
  8. Assist in development and design work as required.
  9. Assist in completing requirements to obtain or maintain listings through various approval agencies.

 

Requirements

  1. BS Degree or appropriate experience in the combustion industry.
  2. 3-5 years related job experience preferred
  3. PLC and touchscreen programming (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens) preferred
  4. Familiar with industry standards (e.g. UL, NFPA)
  5. Experience in troubleshooting control system issues
