Baler Operator - Night Shift
Schedule: Monday - Thursday Nights, 10-hour shifts - see application for schedule options
Job Summary: The Baler Operator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the production floor. They assist in collecting paper scrap bins from the production floor and processing scrap through the baler machine, moving bales to designated area via forklift when complete.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collecting scrap bins from production floor, emptying and returning
Processing scrap through baler, creating scrap bales, and wiring bales
Moving finished bales from conveyor to trailer via forklift
Segregating bales based on specified procedures
Recording production info into system, using scale when necessary
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Adhering to company rules and workplace policies
Miscellaneous duties to assist production floor
Other duties as assigned
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
Forklift experience, preferred but not required
Baler experience, preferred but not required
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and ability to work in team environment.
Excellent time management skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced manufacturing environment
Able to maintain a clean workspace
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
Standing for prolonged periods of time
Walking production floor for majority of shift, up to 5+ miles daily
