GSE Mechanic

Primary Purpose of the Position

The GSE Mechanic will be required to inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles (Ground Support Equipment) as well as make repairs to diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The GSE Mechanic will work closely with the Operations Manager and Line Service Department to provide safe, mechanically sound GSE equipment and facilities.



Essential Functions




  • Comply with and ensure accountability for Company policies and procedures related to GSE standards, safety, and security procedures.

  • Establish, implement, and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for site’s fleet of ground service equipment and fuel farm.

  • Perform repairs on downed equipment.

  • Maintain stock of necessary parts and fluids in accordance with the PMS and consistent with guidance from the Operations Manager and General Manager

  • Ensure a culture that promotes first class customer service and safety through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, usage of Baldwin SMS, monthly service/safety meetings, training, and documented service/safety procedures.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and business partners.

  • Additional duties as directed by the Operations Manager or General Manager from time to time.
