Description
Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant, Purchasing is responsible for assisting with the procurement and management of items that are not directly used in the production of pharmaceutical/nutraceutical products (Indirect Purchasing).
- This position is a part-time opportunity with a potential to be full-time perm.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday; 9:00am - 1:00pm
- Location: ONSITE, Hauppauge.
Requirements
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Entering & updating purchase orders in CPC’s ERP System (DEACOM).
- Support in the reconciliation of invoice/receiving discrepancies.
- Assist in organizing and filing physical and electronic records associated with department.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.
Education and Experience:
- High-School or Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1 year of work experience in Purchasing or similar, preferably in pharma/nutrition/OTC industry.
- Familiarity with a pharma/nutrition/OTC industry a plus.
- No purchasing experience is required, willing to train.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload, strong sense of urgency in resolving any issues.
- Organized and detailed oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Office Outlook.
- Smartsheet experience is a plus.
Work Conditions:
- Hours/Travel maybe subject to changed based on management/company discretion.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
