What You’ll Do
As a Field Engineer, you will provide end-user computing support at Salt Lake City Office and Carthage, Missouri Plant. You will be responsible for building, configuring and deploying Windows laptops and desktops according to company standards. Other duties include:
Reimage, replace, and upgrade computers as part of lifecycle management
Prepare, package, and ship computers and peripherals to remote users and field engineers
Collect and decommission devices from departing employees, ensuring proper data handling and asset updates
Provide hands-on troubleshooting for issues related to Windows OS, Office 365 applications, VPN connectivity, printers, desk phones, and general hardware
Support users with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, wired connections, and authentication problems.
Assist with post-patching validation and troubleshooting after monthly maintenance cycles
Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including workstation setup, account verification, and equipment retrieval
Log, update, and resolve incidents and service requests in the ITSM platform following established SLAs
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of hands-on experience in desktop support, field engineering, or end-user computing
Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 operating systems, including imaging, configuration, and troubleshooting
Experience using Service Now ITSM tool or any other ITSM tool. • Experience supporting Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
Experience with Apple iPhones setups. • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
Basic knowledge of VPN technologies, authentication issues, and remote access troubleshooting
Familiarity with server environments, Active Directory basics (password resets, account lookups), and group policy behavior.
Experience supporting desk phones, softphones, and basic voice troubleshooting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel to nearby sites as needed.
Preferred skills:
Experience working in manufacturing or plant environments with multi-building layouts
Ability to act as smart hands for network, voice, and infrastructure teams
Knowledge of mobile device management tools (Intune, SOTI, or similar)
Understanding of hardware lifecycle management and asset tracking processes
Ability to lift and move IT equipment (monitors, desktops, small network devices)
