Job Summary:

The Technician - Boiler Room is responsible for the repair and maintenance of commercial laundry equipment, including boilers. This position requires advanced knowledge and experience in low and high-pressure steam, electrical controls, natural gas systems, and boiler operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various electrical and mechanical equipment, work effectively within a team, and ensure the proper functioning of the boiler room equipment.


Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial laundry equipment and boilers

- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity

- Collaborate with team members to address and resolve complex technical issues related to boiler room operations

- Perform regular inspections to identify potential equipment failures or safety hazards in the boiler room

- Maintain inventory of parts and equipment necessary for repairs and replacements in the boiler room

- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections related to boiler room equipment

- Adhere to company safety regulations and procedures, especially in the boiler room environment

- Stay up to date with industry developments and advancements in boiler room technology for optimal performance.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Advanced knowledge and experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial laundry equipment and boilers

- Solid understanding of low and high-pressure steam, electrical controls, natural gas systems, and boiler operations

- Experience working with various electrical and mechanical equipment

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work effectively within a team environment

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Flexibility to work as scheduled, including weekends and holidays
