Job Description

The RDX Road Crossings Technician supports internal and external client needs by performing manual labor in support of Road Crossings projects.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable

  • Assist with construction, maintenance, and repair of road crossings, culverts, and access roads in remote locations.
  • Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, material handling, and site preparation.
  • Support field crews during installation, inspection, and maintenance activities.
  • Stage, transport, and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for road crossing projects.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in remote and industrial environments.
  • Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
    • Maintain compliance with the required HSE Training.
    • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
    • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
    • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives.
    • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
    • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
    • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
    • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor and industrial environments.
  • Basic knowledge of construction or industrial work practices.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in remote areas and under harsh weather conditions.
