Description

Compensation: $70,000/Yearly

Overall Responsibility: APIC Solutions is looking for a driven and passionate Low Voltage Service Estimator / Engineer to design and estimate voice/data, CCTV, access control, nurse call, intrusion alarm, and other special systems. The ideal candidate will execute APIC Solutions Operational and Business Development strategies to develop customer relationships across all divisions at APIC Solutions. These installations are for commercial, government and large enterprise customers, not residential.  

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

      Design and estimate low voltage special systems for construction and service projects ensuring systems are designed per company, engineering, and national code requirements.  

      Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field technicians to gather necessary information and refine project scope.

 

      Prepare and submit comprehensive proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, within assigned deadlines.

 

      Travel to customer sites around designated area to conduct site visits and site evaluations.

      Maintain accountability for deadlines, recognizing their impact on project timelines, client relationships, and company reputation.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

      Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial low voltage systems.

      Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

      Understanding of basic customer relationship management

      Have good working knowledge of low voltage special systems and data infrastructure installation practices.

      Excellent writing and presentation skills.

      Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position.

      Must be detail oriented, have multitasking abilities, handle tight, time-sensitive deadlines.

      Must be creative and able to offer suggestions on how to achieve desired results.

      Must be a team player, self-motivated, and career oriented, with a desire to contribute to the growth of the company.

      Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

      Strong interpersonal & time management skills.

      Strong technical knowledge to include industry code requirements.
