JOB SUMMARY



Stage raw materials in racks, and carts for welding operations.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES




  • Actively observe and promote BWise safety standards.

  • Obtain specifications for trailer from pull sheets.

  • Procure raw materials from part racks and place in cart/racks. 

  • Stock raw material after its been processed and accounted for.

  • Assign locations to parts who do not have one.

  • Maintain all parts up to date with the latest revision changes.

  • Keep raw material area clean and organized.

  • Assist with inventory control which includes cycle counting.

  • Other duties, as assigned by Dept. Leadership.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT




  • Must be capable of sitting for the majority of shift and stand when required to do so. 

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending, kneeling and stooping.

  • Will be exposed to extreme heat and cold depending on weather.

  • Subject to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, electric shock, bright lights, UV radiation, burns, traffic hazards, and high noise levels in the workplace.



PPE REQUIREMENTS




  • Steel-toed shoes or composite shoes

  • Safety glasses

  • Earplugs

  • Gloves when handling any material



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS




  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must be able to read, write, count, communicate by various channels.

  • Must have appropriate high school, or on-the-job training from previous employment.

  • Ability to read a tape measure.

  • Must be able to interpret drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
