Position Summary:

The Vice President Professional Services will oversee the management and execution of all client-facing projects and HCM Unlocked internal projects delivered by the Professional Services organization. This leader will have oversight and responsibility for the resources and work executed by the PMO team, the Technical Services team and the Data Services team. This leader will also be accountable to manage the financial targets and goals for the Professional Services area in support of HCM Unlocked�s strategic plan. This role requires seasoned experience spanning both project management and technical configuration with the ability to optimize efficiencies through strategic staffing and standardization of project delivery. Familiarity with a variety of HRIS platforms (Human Resource Information Systems) is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion & Practice Build-Out (UKG Ready SI): Lead the development, launch, and growth of ABC Company�s UKG Ready Systems Integration practice. This includes defining the go-to-market strategy, building delivery capabilities from the ground up, establishing partnerships with UKG, creating scalable implementation frameworks, and driving market penetration to position ABC Company as a premier SI partner in the UKG Ready ecosystem.
  • Leadership: Oversee the governance and operations of the PMO, Technical Services, and Data Services ensuring the successful delivery of all projects aligned with the organization�s goals and client needs.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the annual budget of Professional Services and drive the execution of work and management of resources to achieve key metrics and financial targets related to revenue and gross margin.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Oversight in collaboration with Professional Services Leaders of the HCM Unlocked project portfolio within Professional Services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of project managers, technical and data consultants, and offshore resources fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance and refine existing HCM Unlocked processes, methodologies, and standards to increase project efficiency and execution, in alignment with best practices.
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with senior leadership to define and execute on the strategic vision of HCM Unlocked, supporting scalability, operational efficiencies, and service excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing leadership, clear communication, and accountability for project outcomes.
  • Resource Management: Oversee project resourcing, capacity planning, and utilization, ensuring the proper allocation of personnel across Professional Services to meet project demands.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible with the Professional Services Leaders to govern adherence to all QA tasks for every project.
  • Signoff: : Responsible with the Professional Services Leaders to govern signoff execution by primary stakeholders (client, HCM Unlocked, Vendor, Project teams) for every project.

Example Duties:

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of ongoing projects, using metrics and KPIs to assess project health and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Lead regular reviews and audits of the Professional Services teams� effectiveness, adjusting processes and standards as needed to ensure continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across departments and client-facing teams, to ensure alignment of project objectives and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new staff (contractor, permanent or offshore), providing mentoring and guidance to promote a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support pre-sales efforts by assisting with scoping, cost estimates, and confirmation of resource availability and skill requirements.
  • Deliver frequent performance updates to leaders through recurring KPI meetings, Sr. Leadership meetings, and other leadership events using formal presentations of data delivered to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and IT team to ensure that all team resources and tools are compliant with the handling and storage of client data in accordance with governing laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Talent Acquisition teams to maintain adequate staffing and skills required to meet the demands of client needs.
  • Proactively audit time-entry data to ensure integrity and accuracy in client billing, in addition to ensuring achievement of financial targets and goals.
  • Timely engagement in client escalations to perform research and root cause analysis to remedy the situation - Could potentially result in determining the need for issuing a credit.

Additional Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across all Professional Services teams (PMO, Technical Services, Data Services, etc).
  • Ensure all HCMU Professional Services activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership in driving organizational change management efforts related to optimizing the work processes executed by Professional Services teams (PMO, Technical Services, Data Services, etc) and/or tools.
  • Participate in client engagements to reinforce Professional Services standards and methodologies and ensure project outcomes meet client expectations.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor�s degree in business, IT, Project Management, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.)
  • 10+ years of experience consisting of project management and technical implementations, including 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent is not required, but would be preferred.
  • Proven track record of improving and enhancing existing operations, processes, and methodologies through standardization and optimization.
  • Proven track record of managing department budgets and achieving financial targets to drive revenue and growth for an organization while managing gross margin and expenses.
  • Experience with HRIS and familiarity with system integrations and related project management efforts is a plus.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and industry best practices in industry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions

In this fully remote position, employees will work in a home office environment with secure access to systems handling sensitive and personally identifiable information (PII). Adherence to strict confidentiality protocols and data privacy regulations is required. The role demands a quiet, professional workspace free from distractions to maintain focus and ensure data security. Access to high-speed internet, as well as secure equipment and software, is necessary for compliance with company and legal standards. Regular virtual meetings and collaboration with team members are expected, with camera usage during meetings being imperative to maintain engagement and clear communication.

  • Daily/consistent: Use of professional judgement in alignment with HCM Unlocked values and policies, ability to communicate effectively verbally and written, translate high level instructions into an executable process flow, and to complete medium to large projects with minimal assistance and supervision.
