Craft Bartender
Description
Sign of the Buck is a new restaurant and bar located in the heart of historic Gettysburg, occupying the first floor of the newly renovated Union Hotel. The 100-seat establishment that opened in July 2023 with a New American menu inspired by French cuisine and featuring produce and meats from local farms as well as extensive selection of wine, craft cocktails, beer, cider, and other libations. We are seeking to hire bartenders, servers, hosts, and food runners. Front-of-house staff will report directly to the General Manager and the Front-of-House Manager.
We are seeking enthusiastic and creative individuals to interact with our patrons in a skillful, friendly, engaged, and informed manner.
Bartender: $5/hour + Tips
Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally allowed to work in the U.S.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and engaged, with the desire and ability to work as part of a team
- Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, craft cocktails, beer, and cider
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds
- Maintain uniform, hygiene, and grooming standards and requirements
- Ensure equipment is used safely and cleaned and maintained properly
- Adhere to daily and weekly deep-clean schedule
- Operate with a positive attitude and interact with staff respectfully; lead by example to set and maintain a high level of standards for dining excellence and mutual trust among fellow staff
Preferences:
- RAMP certification
- Two years of previous bartending experience
- Familiarity with the Toast point of sales system
