Installation Access Requirement: Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to a U.S. Army installation (base access) in accordance with applicable government/customer requirements. Secret clearance preferred.

Job Summary  

The Heavy Equipment Operator Technician supports site logistics, grounds operations, and material movement activities by operating and maintaining heavy equipment used in the handling, transport, and staging of equipment, materials, and supplies. This position helps ensure safe and efficient movement of site assets in accordance with federal safety regulations and installation operating procedures. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, front-end loaders, bulldozers, graders, backhoes, and rough terrain forklifts. 
  • Transport, load, and unload equipment, materials, and supplies in accordance with safety regulations. 
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on assigned equipment. 
  • Inspect storage areas, roadways, and loading zones to ensure safe operational conditions. 
  • Support inventory control, material handling, and warehouse operations. 
  • Follow all Department of Defense and installation-specific safety standards. 
  • Maintain operational logs, inspection records, and maintenance documentation. 
  • Assist with grounds maintenance, site upkeep, and other operational support tasks as required.
