Requirements

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Plant Services, the Plant Services Operator performs a variety of duties in and around the buildings of the MGRMC complex, to complete repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery, buildings, equipment, and grounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent.
  • Plumber required minimum qualifications:
    • 5 years plumbing experience
    • Able to serve and repair all types of plumbing fixtures
    • Must understand how to use and maintain drain cleaning and other plumbing equipment
  • HVAC required minimum qualifications:
    • HVAC certified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and electrical knowledge
    • Understands how to use multi-tester and ohm meters to trouble shoot and identify equipment failure
  • Electrician required minimum qualifications:
    • Apprenticeship training, trade school certificate or ten plus years’ experience in field
    • Three years’ verifiable experience as a journeyman electrician
  • Alertness to detect malfunctioning equipment, and fire or safety hazards.
  • Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Current driver license required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
  • An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
  • Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
