Crescent Energy is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to join our GIS Team with a primary focus on ESRI Enterprise Portal web application development and business intelligence integration. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level geospatial solutions that support our petroleum operations through modern web-based applications, services, and integrated analytics platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
Web Application Development
Design, develop, and deploy web applications using ESRI Experience Builder to deliver intuitive, data-driven user experiences
Create and maintain ArcGIS Dashboards that provide real-time operational insights and key performance indicators
Build and configure Portal for ArcGIS maps and custom map applications tailored to petroleum industry workflows
Develop custom web mapping solutions that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems
Business Intelligence & Analytics Integration
Integrate Power BI or Microsoft Fabric with ArcGIS Enterprise to create unified geospatial and business intelligence solutions
Develop Power BI reports and dashboards that incorporate spatial data and ArcGIS map visualizations
Establish data connections between ArcGIS services and Power BI datasets
Design cross-platform analytics solutions that leverage both ESRI and Microsoft technologies
Create embedded map visualizations within Power BI reports using ArcGIS Maps for Power BI
Service Management & Publishing
Publish and manage map services, feature services, and geoprocessing services within the ArcGIS Enterprise environment
Optimize service performance, caching strategies, and data delivery for enterprise-scale applications
Maintain service catalogs and ensure proper documentation of published resources
Implement version control and deployment workflows for web applications and services
Configure and maintain REST API endpoints for Power BI and other third-party integrations
Petroleum Operations Support
Collaborate with petroleum engineering, land, geology, and operations teams to understand business requirements
Translate technical petroleum workflows into effective geospatial and analytical solutions
Support asset management, well planning, lease operations, and regulatory compliance through GIS applications
Provide technical expertise on spatial data integration for oil and gas operations
Develop integrated dashboards combining operational, financial, and spatial metrics
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
5+ years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Portal and web application development
Proficiency in ArcGIS Experience Builder and ArcGIS Dashboards
Strong understanding of ArcGIS Server and service publishing workflows
Experience with ArcGIS Pro and desktop GIS analytic workflows
Experience with Portal for ArcGIS configuration and administration
Power BI development experience including report creation and data modeling
Knowledge of data integration patterns between GIS and business intelligence platforms
Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs)
Familiarity with ArcGIS API for JavaScript or similar web mapping frameworks
Industry Knowledge
Understanding of petroleum industry operations, terminology, and workflows
Experience working with oil and gas spatial data (wells, leases, facilities, pipelines)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance reporting in the energy sector
Professional Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications
ESRI Technical Certification (e.g., Enterprise Administration, Web Application Development)
Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst Associate)
Knowledge of Python scripting for geoprocessing automation
Familiarity with SQL/PostgreSQL and geodatabase management
Experience with Power Query (M) and Power Automate for data workflows
Experience with Arcade expressions for data visualization and labeling
Background in supporting GIS Applications for petroleum engineering, geology, or land management
Familiarity with ArcGIS Maps for Power BI custom visual
Work Environment
Office-based position with Friday remote work arrangement
