Sales Manager – L&R

Your future position? 

As a Sales Manager in our Fragrances Division at Givaudan, the global leader in the flavour and fragrance industry, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth through distributors and consignment agents. You will be working for the market leader that is at the forefront of innovation in an industry that creates brand value through emotions. This role requires strong people orientation, dealer management expertise, and the ability to build enduring partnerships that deliver long‑term value. You will combine strategic business development with hands‑on channel sales execution, ensuring Givaudan remains the partner of choice in a competitive market.

In this exciting role you will:

Develop our business:

  • Manage, grow, and defend existing Givaudan business across consumer product segments through various distribution models (online and offline).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers, conducting business reviews, negotiations, and product presentations.
  • Develop account plans and product portfolios for each distributor & consignment agent that helps anticipate future needs, leading to a solid product pipeline.
  • Provide regular inputs to management on opportunities in the assigned territory, leveraging linkage with R&D, manufacturing, procurement, QC/QA, and finance.
  • Monitor KPIs versus targets (sales, gross profit, win rate) and take corrective actions when needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in sales, distribution, and channel partner management, ideally within the flavour, fragrance, food, or pharma industries.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of fragrances and their end‑use applications.
  • Proven experience in dealer management and channel sales (online and offline).
  • Business acumen with understanding of profitability goals and drivers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to identify opportunities, define strategy, implement action plans, and achieve objectives.
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High learning agility, adaptability, and people orientation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the designated market (including and across India; abroad if applicable).
  • Highly professional and ethical conduct.
