The Sr. Financial Analyst (Fulfillment) is a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Finance professional to support our Distribution Centers (DCs), providing a unique opportunity to influence daily operations and long‑term strategic decisions.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen, technical capability, and a curiosity to understand key drivers behind the business. As the financial advisor to facility leadership, you will translate operational activity into meaningful financial performance, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and help shape the future of our Supply Chain network.
Responsibilities
DC Financial Reporting & Analysis Ownership
- Own financial reporting and analysis for multiple Distribution Centers.
- Serve as primary point of contact for DC financial reporting, analyses, budgets, and forecasts.
- Partner with DC leaders to explain variances, identify risks, and highlight improvement opportunities.
- Support Financial Planning Manager with reporting and analysis for broader Catalyst Brands Fulfillment operations business insights.
KPI & Performance Management
- Prepare financial reporting, analysis of results, and review of variances.
- Lead or support budgeting and forecasting cycles for DCs.
- Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards for operational and financial insights.
- Conduct periodic KPI and financial performance reviews with local, regional, and global Supply Chain leadership teams.
General Ledger & Accounting Activities
- Manage general ledger balances related to DCs, including Payroll, Operating, and Occupancy expenses.
- Reconcile Labor Management System data to Payroll and General Ledger actuals.
- Support the month‑end financial close process, including accruals, journal entries, and GL review.
- Ensure reporting aligns with US GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Leadership Support & Partnerships
- Work closely with facility and department leaders to provide financial guidance and decision support.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to DC leadership.
- Develop deep expertise in on‑site operations to better connect financial and operational drivers.
Value Creation
- Develop, monitor, and continuously improve KPIs and performance metrics.
- Partner with Finance and Distribution Center teams to build and enhance reporting infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate existing reporting processes.
- Leverage AI tools to provide enhanced insights.
- Support and lead special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivots, models, automation techniques).
- SQL experience preferred; willingness to learn required.
- Experience with database management, including updating tables and maintaining data integrity.
- Ability to build, enhance, and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools.
Business & Financial Skills
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
- Ability to translate operational drivers into financial impact.
- Experience ensuring data accuracy and building clean, scalable reporting processes.
Experience & Knowledge
- 3+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting required.
- Distribution Center or Transportation experience preferred.
- Familiarity with:
- Financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Building financial models
- US GAAP and core accounting processes (accruals, journal entries, GL review)
- Strong analytical capability, with experience developing and monitoring KPIs and performance metrics
