Individual will be responsible for planning, organizing and carrying out habilitation, rehabilitation or socialization activities with individuals hospitalized on the Psychiatric Units of the facility. The work will involve the application of activity/therapy skills and/or equipment in a music, art, horticultural, athletic, recreational or activities of daily living (ADL) program. The individual will be responsible for conducting and interpreting assessments to determine patients' needs, capabilities and interests; writing treatment goals and objectives; documenting and evaluation participation and progress; and demonstrating activities while encouraging patient participation.
Must hold professional license in the state of Texas, or meet Texas licensure requirements as Occupational Therapist. Previous experience preferred. BLS required. Handle with Care training required upon hire.
