Job Description:
This position will assist with grant-related research in a structural biology and biochemistry lab. Needs to keep a reliable notebook, perform experiments as planned, and help with data evaluation.
Duties include:
30% Expressing and purifying human proteins expressed in E. coli and purified on an HPLC.
30% Crystallization of peripheral membrane-binding proteins in aqeuous, detergent-solubilized, and lipidic-cubic phase
30% Kinetic assays of human lipoxygenase enzymes by UV-VIS spectroscopy.
10% Helping maintain lab cleanliness by washing dishes and putting glassware in its proper place.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or related.
