Chenega Naswik International, LLC has immediate openings for an Unarmed Security Officer to provide security services in support of the National Park Service across locations in Washington, D.C. and Virginia.
- Perform unarmed guard services. Work in a professional, complimentary manner IAW security post orders.
- Perform random patrol of building interior/exterior/external grounds.
- Manage Access Control and Surveillance (entry/exit/inside/outside of building)
- Monitor personnel access (entry/exit), visitor control and screening
- Monitor Security and Emergency Alarms and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate security equipment, X-Ray machines, magnetometers, and trace detection equipment.
- Advise and report breaches of security hardware to include broken locks, doors, non-working cameras, communications radios, etc.
- Maintain detailed, professional daily logs, incident reports & miscellaneous reporting and inspection support as required.
- Monitor/report suspicious activity.
- Conduct random screenings of individuals using handheld devices and a walk-through metal detector.
- Other duties as assigned
- Possess a current Washington DC Security Guard License or Virgina Security Guard License.
- Possess a high school education or equivalent (such as GED Equivalency certificate) and two (2) years of experience in the position of performance.
- Possess operator level certification of Smith’s detection HI-SCAN X-Ray Inspection System.
- Capable of responding to emergencies.
- Successfully pass a criminal history background check conducted by the United States Park Police.
- Successfully pass a medical examination.
- Possess the ability to fluently speak, read, write, and understand the English language, to include reading, understanding, applying printed rules, and detailed instructions.
- Possess the ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports.
- Possess the ability to meet and deal with the public.
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
- Knowledge of physical security and anti-terrorism/force protection for DoD facilities
