About the Role
Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager who can lead the restaurant, bar, and culinary teams while also stepping into the kitchen to cook as needed. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for daily operations, service excellence, team development, and maintaining a clean, compliant, and financially sound F&B department.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and stewarding teams
- Maintain brand standards, health department compliance, and operational discipline
- Cook and support culinary production during peak periods or staffing gaps
- Lead, train, schedule, and coach all F&B team members
- Conduct daily line checks, kitchen walkthroughs, and service inspections
- Manage labor, inventory, food cost, and bar controls
- Assist with menu development and seasonal updates
- Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve escalated concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years of F&B leadership experience (hotel or restaurant)
- Ability to cook on the line and support culinary operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Experience managing labor, inventory, and cost controls
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred:
- Culinary degree or formal culinary training
- Experience in boutique or lifestyle hotels
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- Experience with Netchex, POS systems, or inventory software
