About the Role

Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager who can lead the restaurant, bar, and culinary teams while also stepping into the kitchen to cook as needed. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for daily operations, service excellence, team development, and maintaining a clean, compliant, and financially sound F&B department.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, kitchen, and stewarding teams
  • Maintain brand standards, health department compliance, and operational discipline
  • Cook and support culinary production during peak periods or staffing gaps
  • Lead, train, schedule, and coach all F&B team members
  • Conduct daily line checks, kitchen walkthroughs, and service inspections
  • Manage labor, inventory, food cost, and bar controls
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal updates
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve escalated concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance


What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 3+ years of F&B leadership experience (hotel or restaurant)
  • Ability to cook on the line and support culinary operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Experience managing labor, inventory, and cost controls
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods


Preferred:

  • Culinary degree or formal culinary training
  • Experience in boutique or lifestyle hotels
  • ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Experience with Netchex, POS systems, or inventory software
