Excellent opportunity for an experienced full time CNC Programmer to join the Selux team responsible for building high end architectural light fixtures.  Monday - Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, OT available.   Paid time off, paid holidays and full benefits.

 

Salary: $25 - 40/hr



Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in CNC programming for plasma cutters, milling machines, and press brakes.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of G-code and machine-specific programming languages.
  • Experience with 4-axis milling and multi-axis setups.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of material properties, metal fabrication, and machining processes.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance and operation; working with gauges/calipers
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Team oriented and self directed

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and engineering drawings to create accurate CNC programs.
  • Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects
  • Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for:
    • Hypertherm plasma cutting systems
    • Kitamura 4-axis milling machines
    • Traditional turret punches and press brakes
  • Set up machines, verify tool paths, and conduct trial runs to ensure parts meet Selux quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and machinists to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine setups, and revisions.
  • Recommend improvements in programming methods, tooling, and machining strategies.
  • Carry out production, inspection and machine operation duties
  • Effectively monitor production equipment
  • Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
  • Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the guidelines
  • Practice and follow safety protocols
