Life at UiPath

The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.

To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.

Could that be you?

Senior Principal Builder Engineer

About UiPath

UiPath is on a mission to uplevel knowledge work so humanity can work more creatively and strategically. We're building the control plane for enterprise AI—where agents, automation, APIs, and humans work together to solve real business problems.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional engineering role. We're looking for founding engineer mindset talent who can thrive inside a well-funded, scaled company.

We need engineers who:

  • Don't wait for requirements - they identify problems worth solving

  • Build and ship solutions end-to-end - from concept to customer

  • Validate with real users - data-driven iteration is in their DNA

  • Think like owners - bringing ideas, not just execution

What You'll Do

Build the Future of AI-Powered Work

  • Define and build net-new AI-powered product capabilities (0→1)

  • Design and ship agentic workflows using LLMs, APIs, and automation

  • Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to validate solutions

  • Rapidly prototype, iterate, and drive adoption of new features

  • Partner across Product, Design, GTM, and Engineering to shape product direction

What You Bring

Core Traits

  • Proven 0→1 builder experience (startup, founding engineer, or internal incubation)

  • Strong product instincts - you've defined what to build, not just how

  • Comfortable in ambiguity and fast iteration cycles

  • Hands-on engineer (IC or EM who still codes)

Technical Background

  • Experience with LLMs, RAG, or agentic systems

  • Full-stack or backend-leaning expertise (frontend skills a plus)

  • Track record of working with customers and driving product adoption

Strong Signals (Nice to Have)

  • Switched between IC and leadership roles

  • Left a large company to build something new

  • Built products that reached real users (not just internal system
