About The Role

The Fleet GPS & Tooling Specialist is responsible for the setup, calibration, maintenance, and support of GPS systems, measurement equipment, and specialized tooling used in field and shop operations. This role ensures accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of positioning, layout, and tooling processes while supporting project teams, engineers, and field personnel.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage inventory of tools and equipment to support unit-based contracts efficiently.

· Coordinate the inspection, maintenance, and repair schedules for all tooling and equipment.

· Collaborate with project teams to anticipate equipment needs and ensure timely availability.

· Track and enforce safety compliance standards related to tooling and equipment usage.

· Optimize procurement strategies to balance quality, cost, and project timelines.

· Provide training and guidance to field teams on proper tool handling and care.

Key Qualifications

  Class A CDL

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment management, logistics, or a related field.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.

· Proficiency in inventory management systems and data analysis.

· Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams and departments.

· Commitment to safety and compliance in all aspects of equipment handling.

Key Nice-To-Haves

· Certifications in equipment maintenance or logistics management.

· Experience in the underground utility or energy sectors.
