Kraken Robotics is currently seeking a Junior Reliability Specialist to join our team in Mount Pearl, NL.

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform Reliability focused activities, such as: Reliability Analysis, Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis (RCMA), and Life Cycle Costing (LCC) Analysis.
Contribute to the development of reliability predictions using tools such as Reliasoft and standards including but not limited to MIL-HDBK-217F.
Assist in implementing reliability practices into product design, testing, and sustainment processes.
Collaborate with global teams (Canada, Germany, US) to collect and validate reliability data from fielded systems.
Support the ILS team in sustainment planning by providing inputs to availability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost models.
Maintaining a customer focus to ensure that requirements and expectations are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Contribute to the development of reliability-related policies, processes, and best practices within Kraken.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Naval, Mechanical or Electrical) or Applied Mathematics, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent Navy Certification. Relevant experience in the reliability and supportability field.
Coursework, training, or certification in reliability engineering (e.g., ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer, SAE/SMRP, or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.
Familiar with reliability analysis tools and methodologies such as FMEA, RAM analysis, fault tree analysis (FTA), root cause analysis (RCA)
Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with subject matter experts, colleagues, clients, and users
Skills working in a self-directed manner in a team environment, including personal workload management (organizing and prioritizing)
Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines in a high-paced environment
Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance
