JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide communication technical assistance for a variety of district areas.
QUALIFICATIONS: At least two years’ experience in website design/production and content creation, or related field desired. Proven experience as a communications specialist is preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
REPORTS TO: Supervisor for Community Relations and Director of Student Recruitment & Retention
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and supports districtwide web content and design, provides training and assistance to end-users.
- Maintains and supports a parent notification system and provides training and assistance to end-users.
- Uses the principles of copywriting, editing, and grammar in daily work.
- Demonstrates excellent communication (oral and written).
- Possess in-depth technical knowledge and expertise in MS Office, Google Docs, and/or Apple iWorks, as well as photo and video-editing software.
- Captures, creates, edits, and manages photo, video, and graphic design assets for district communications, marketing materials, and digital platforms.
- Exhibits a solid understanding of the principles of project management.
- Serves as a public relations liaison in answering telephones and assisting personnel who desire information and/or services.
- Provides emergency assistance and crisis communication support.
- Maintains a high level of communication with district personnel.
- Creates, edits, and manages graphics for district marquees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SALARY: Twelve-month position, beginning salary Level 36, employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
