Job Description

Detail Department Manager

The Detail Department Manager at Headquarter Hyundai is responsible for overseeing all operations related to vehicle detailing and cleaning. This role ensures that every car- new, used, or serviced- is presented in pristine condition for customers and ready for showroom display. The manager leads a team of detailers, organizes workflow, scheduled shifts, and maintains high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Supervise and lead the detailing team
  • Train new employees
  • Inspect vehicles to ensure quality standards are met before delivery or showroom display
  • Manage supplies, equipment, and inventory for the detail department
  • Coordinate with sales and service departments to meet dealership needs
  • Schedule shifts and organize workflow to optimize efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and dealership policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be flexible with schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Adhere to the company’s dress code policy
  • Previous experience in automotive detailing preferred
  • Management or supervisory experience, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and inventory management is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with dealership policies
