Job Description

The Hardware Engineer will participate to the definition of the hardware topics under the leadership of the Hardware Team Leader within the Handheld Scanners Business Unit.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Design of analogue and digital circuits for low power battery operated products;
  • Familiar with the design/evaluation of microprocessor architecture for image processing devices;
  • Documentation of design specifications and implementation details;
  • Execute design reviews;
  • Upholding of hardware design standards and methodologies;
  • Collaboration with other team members (including optical, hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc.;
  • Flexibility is essential as specifications may not be fully defined at the start of development;
  • Provide support for the hardware and manage component obsolescence throughout its lifecycle;
  • Development of appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Education:  Electronics Engineering or Computer Science Engineering (MA Degree)
  • Languages: Italian - Fluent English
  • Experience:  3/4 years of experience in embedded HW design, low voltage power supply, interfaces.

 

Job Details & Specifications:

 

  • Electronics platform for embedded system (application processor);
  • Microcontroller with real time operating system;
  • Microprocessor Systems knowledge, preferably ARM based;
  • Power supply and battery charger design;
  • Electronic CAD skilled, C/C++ knowledge;
