SCOPE OF WORK: Performs administrative, technical, and communications duties in support of the College�s athletic programs and campus life initiatives. This full-time role enhances visibility, engagement, and branding for NHTI Athletics and campus life activities. The position reports to the Director of Athletics & Campus Life at NHTI, Concord�s Community College.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide general support for department initiatives, including the design and creation of printed and electronic materials.
  • Draft and develop content and communications (emails, articles, press releases, brochures, websites, social media posts, game statistics) for athletics and campus life programs.
  • Maintains and updates the current athletic website with accurate and current information such as schedules, rosters, photos, results, and stories.
  • Develops and posts new content on social media platforms regularly to build awareness, promote events and programs, and share relevant information with the NHTI community.
  • Attends home athletic events to track live statistics, manage game-day logistics, and support on-site communications, signage, and promotions.
  • Manage home game streaming coverage, including operating cameras, providing play-by-play commentary, and handling production tasks.
  • Assist with promoting athletic competitions and campus life events through the creation of posters, digital signage, social media content, and other materials designed to increase student awareness and attendance.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department as needed to ensure materials align with NHTI branding guidelines while supporting Athletics and Campus Life initiatives.
  • Support communication efforts to share information about athletic events, programs, and activities with students and the campus community.
  • Collaborate with coaches, staff, and student leaders to increase attendance, engagement, and participation in athletics and campus life events.
  • Provide administrative support for event scheduling, facility reservations, and departmental communications related to Athletics and Campus Life activities.
  • Assist with tracking event participation, engagement, and other information to help evaluate the success of Athletics and Campus Life programming.
  • Participate in college and system-wide meetings and initiatives as assigned.
  • Comply with all system, college, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or GED. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Five (5) years' experience in marketing, public relations or a related field. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

License/Certification: Valid driver�s license.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Demonstrates proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and Production Truck (or similar products). Knowledge of methods and techniques for disseminating information to the public and media. Ability to plan and organize informational programs and to plan and direct the activities of subordinates. Ability to speak effectively before diverse interest groups. Ability to edit, proofread and analyze informational material. Ability to work independently and to consistently exercise professional judgment. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
