Job Description
Upway is hiring a Pricing Operations Manager.

This is a critical role for Upway’s next phase of growth: from 50k to 1M E-Bikes refurbished per year, from 6 to 10+ UpCenters.

The Pricing Operations function will own and continuously improve the pricing operations at the core of Upway’s business. Our mission is to make fast, accurate, and data-driven pricing decisions that fuel our growth, while protecting our margins and keeping inventory moving rapidly.

You will oversee our core pricing processes, from fine-tuning our pricing model coefficients to running weekly pricing reviews. You will work closely with team leaders and executive leadership to drive commercial success.

What you will do

  • Own the weekly pricing process to determine if we should increase or decrease our buying and selling prices for different e-bikes.
  • Build tools and dashboards that track key metrics and automatically recommend updates to our pricing model coefficients.
  • Run pricing reviews with team leaders. You will pitch your data-backed recommendations and collaborate with them to finalize the decisions.
  • Analyze inventory data to pinpoint low-performing e-bikes. You will dig into the numbers to find patterns and understand exactly why certain models aren't moving.
  • Make our pricing operations highly efficient by building light automations and smart spreadsheet workflows to eliminate manual work.
  • Support leadership on long-term pricing strategy and major commercial decisions, with the opportunity to expand your strategic scope over time.

What you will need

  • Strong academic background in business, finance, engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • 2–5 years of experience in Data-Driven Operations, Commercial Finance, Strategy Consulting, or an equivalent analytical role
  • Fluency in English
  • Stellar analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for finding the "why" behind the numbers
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; you know how to present findings, influence decision-makers, and build consensus
  • High proficiency in SQL to extract and manipulate your own data
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and the ability to build simple automation tools for commercial processes
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and changing environment
