Job Description

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is Seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian in the Los Angeles Area! 

Facility Type: Assisted Living 
Hours: 8 hours per week
Schedule: Thursday or Friday availability preferred 
Compensation: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour (DOE)
Travel Reimbursement: Paid at the same hourly rate for time traveling to and from the facility

Responsibilities:

  • Review
    and approve menu on a semi-annual basis to ensure it meets USDA guidelines
    Deliver engaging health & safety in-services for food staff.
  • Conduct
    monthly kitchen sanitation audits, documenting findings and recommending
    corrective actions to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Perform
    other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice as needed.
  • Identify
    high-risk residents for periodic nutritional assessments
  • Adheres
    to all facility policy and procedures

Requirements

Experience
& Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's
    or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an
    accredited program.
  • Registered
    by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Current
    state licensure/certification (if mandated by the state)
  • Minimum
    of 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
  • Experience
    with reviewing menus for facilities.
  • Excellent
    communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families,
    and healthcare teams.
  • Possesses
    the ability to apply critical thinking to a variety of situations, assess
    objectives, develop and implement and monitor effective plans for
    improvement.
  • Proficiency
    in providing general nutrition
  • Familiarity
    with state survey processes and adhering to nutrition care regulations
