Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Auto Adjuster to support our Corporate Headquarters working a hybrid schedule. This role will require strong litigation skills. The ideal candidate will also possess the following skill set. 

Summary Statement

Provides investigation and analysis to adjust personal injury and bodily injury auto claims of low to medium complexity/severity, including management of litigated and non-litigated, to appropriate resolution. 

Essential Tasks/Major Duties

  • Review and interpret commercial insurance policies and accordingly communicate coverage issues verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborate with counsel to manage litigated claims.
  • Collaborate and communicate with agents and policyholders and on claims of medium complexity/severity.
  • Investigate losses, identify coverage, evaluate liability and damages, review and analyze documents and legal pleadings.
  • Develop plan of action to proactively conclude claims, timely evaluate damages, engage other parties in negotiations and settle claims pursuant to guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain proper reserves for each claim to accurately reflect the financial exposure.
  • Determine need for, identify and engage external resources as needed to execute proper resolutions while monitoring and controlling costs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • 3 years of experience handling Michigan bodily injury and personal injury claims of low to medium level of complexity/severity.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
  • Ability to travel daily between locations.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 10%
