Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs complex health informatics work, which involves gathering, storing, analyzing, interpreting, exchanging, and managing patient data; and developing and implementing the electronic health record (EHR)., Provides assistance to the Director of Health Information Management in managing the health Information department to ensure that patient documentation adheres to organization and regulatory standards.

EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthfar4 Information Management, Clinical Informatics, or related field
- Five years’ experience of HIM or other relevant experience in healthcare
- Knowledge of medical health environment and clinical workflows preferred
- Possess excellent time management, decision making and problem-solving skills

JOB SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Plans, designs, and defines functional requirement of the EHR
- Designs and implements information systems used to integrate healthcare data
- Evaluates applications and the impact of the EHR in the support of health goals
- Ensures confidentiality, security, and integrity of data
- Provides analytics and support to program teams as requested in the areas of data preparation, data analysis using applicable statistical methods, protocols, report and technical presentations, and responses to informatics inquiries
- Serves as a liaison between program areas, business, clinical staff and IT staff to support development and implementation of information systems
- Assists with administering program-specific data sets, including responsibilities related to data quality, data maintenance and archiving, analysis, documentation, and reporting
- Develop training curriculum and conduct formal training sessions on the EHR as needed
