Description
- Assemble gearboxes per work order instructions.
- Check work orders for accuracy.
- Visually inspect parts for quality.
- Test units for audible noises.
- Rework and correct any noise or leakage problems.
- Maintain the 5S program and Kanban system.
- Be an active participant in the company’s suggestion, quality, efficiency, and cost savings programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous assembly or mechanical experience preferred.
- Skills and Key Attributes: Strong mechanical aptitude, detail-oriented, with basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand on feet and move around for up to 8-12 hours per day.
Summary
The Gearbox Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting gear reducers, gear motors, and other drive components.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
