Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting in repairs, maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems throughout the entire plant.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Perform all duties of Electric Mechanic “B”

  • Performs size changes on all production lines.

  • Executes the preventive maintenance program schedule to avert production and equipment failures and downtime.

  • Performs troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Troubleshoots AC/DC electrical circuits.

  • Troubleshoots single phase and 3-phase power.

  • Read and interpret hard wire schematics.

  • Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.

  • Troubleshoot and program PLC's.

  • Assist in the training of the Electrical Mechanic in Training and B level Electric Mechanic.

  • Perform and follow all safety rules and regulations.

  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



Vocational/Technical certificate or A.A Degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Oregon state LME license or better.



LANGUAGE SKILLS



Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS



Have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Have ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
