Sparta High School is currently accepting applications for a full-time English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for the 2026�2027 school year. We are seeking a passionate and student-centered educator who is committed to fostering strong literacy skills, critical thinking, and a love of learning in all students.
The Sparta R-III School District operates on a four-day school week (Tuesday through Friday), with one Monday each month designated for staff professional development. This schedule provides educators with dedicated time for collaboration, planning, and continued growth.
Applicants must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate in English Language Arts or be eligible to obtain certification prior to the start of the school year. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong instructional practices, effective classroom management, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
While this position is primarily focused on classroom instruction, there are additional opportunities for coaching and student activity sponsorships available within the district; however, these roles are not required or attached to this position.
