Description

The Training Compliance Officer (TCO) serves as the regional training authority for security officers assigned to our client’s secure facility or regional area. The TCO is responsible for training initiatives and content related to onboarding, certifying, sustaining, and evaluating security officer performance to ensure compliance with our client’s physical security standards and approved training requirements.

This role blends instruction, coaching, assessment, and operational partnership while maintaining close alignment with site leadership and the client’s training program. The TCO will identify training related risks, escalate compliance concerns, and recommend corrective actions through appropriate leadership channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform duties aligned with approved policies, procedures, and contractual requirements
  • Support compliance with client physical security, operational, and training standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and required records
  • Identify risks, gaps, or deficiencies and escalate through appropriate leadership channels
  • Represent CenCore professionally with internal and external stakeholders

Training

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned training projects for physical security teams, ensuring alignment with company and client standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training strategies, including onboarding, certification, sustainment, and refresher activities
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, tracking progress and reporting status to the Training Program Manager
  • Design and facilitate training content using approved curricula, multimedia, and instructional best practices
  • Foster continuous improvement by analyzing training outcomes and incorporating feedback into future initiatives
  • Support onboarding, certification, sustainment, or refresher activities at the site level as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and training records, supporting compliance and audit requirements
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits to evaluate training effectiveness and compliance
  • Evaluate performance, readiness, or program effectiveness
  • Spend significant time in the field observing in-person on-the-job training (OJT) and officer performance
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
  • Facilitate practical exercises, drills, and post-specific training activities
  • Provide coaching and timely performance feedback
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Utilize approved PowerPoint materials, job aids, SOPs, and training equipment

Assessment & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits to evaluate training effectiveness and compliance
  • Evaluate and enhance certification processes to ensure officers are fully qualified for position readiness prior to independent assignment
  • Review and update training materials and resources to ensure alignment with applicable policies, procedures, and standards
  • Evaluate officer knowledge, skills, and behavioral readiness
  • Identify performance gaps and recommend remediation or retraining
  • Validate training completion and maintain accurate training records
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and site inspections
  • Prepare and submit training-related documentation and audit artifacts as required

Sustainment & Continuous Improvement

  • Track training completion across new hires, sustainment cycles, and new site activations
  • Partner with site leadership and PMO to identify trends, risks, and training needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to training effectiveness and service quality

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required at time of hire and is the minimum clearance level necessary to perform this role and support full, independent access to federal protective or similar security environments. TS/SCI FSP is preferred.
  • Prior experience in security operations, preferably within datacenter or critical infrastructure environments
  • Demonstrated training, mentoring, or instructional experience
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and influence without direct authority
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to meet background screening and site access requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as required
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a training lead or a similar equivalent role
  • Prior experience supporting federal, critical infrastructure, or hyperscale environments
  • Instructional design or curriculum development experience
  • Experience with the development and use of multimedia (video, etc.) to implement training effectively
  • Experience in training delivery, quality assurance, or performance assessment
  • Project or program coordination experience
  • Experience conducting performance assessments or certifications
  • Willingness to travel between campuses (up to approximately 50%, region-dependent)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate proficiency with Power BI

  • Ability to work in secure environments requiring extended standing, walking, or post coverage
  • Flexibility to support varied schedules or travel between sites
  • Willingness to operate in controlled access areas with strict procedural requirements.
