Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Purpose: To assemble components into a finished quality product in a safe and efficient manner as requested by our customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
· Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines and notifies their supervisor of any potential safety hazards within the work place. Demonstrates safety by practicing the following at all times: wearing safety glasses, utilizing guards on equipment, watching for forklift traffic, & proper lifting techniques
· Monitors product quality on a daily basis to assure that the product we are producing meets our customer’s expectations
· Understands the importance of maintaining production rates while upholding safety and quality
· Performs their job by working at a consistent and steady pace, being prepared to work each day, and reports to assigned work center in a punctual manner
· Reports to work on time
· Communicates with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner
· Actively participates in CIP events to improve the safety, quality, and efficiencies of our current processes and procedures
· Maintains plant orderliness by keeping area clean and putting away tools as required
· Each employee is expected to be to work on time for every scheduled working day
· Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives
· Actively support continuous improvement.
· Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
· Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous manufacturing / assembly experience is preferred, but not required
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Must be able to read and understand work instructions
· Must be able to work with hand tools, power tools, assembly fixturing, hoists, and testing equipment
Level I Assembly Operator – Learning and following the expectation
· Wears PPE and follows safety requirements without reminding
· Good attendance and use of PTO
· Accurately clocks in and out each day
· Punctual during breaks
· Good communication skills
· Ability to find, read, and follow work instructions
· Demonstrates quality integrity. Follows process, knows how to document non-conforming parts, and understands importance of material code tracking
· Utilizes BOM and job traveler to verify parts
· Understands daily manufacturing goals and the value of their assignment
· Demonstrates teamwork by working well with co-workers and supervisor
· Willingness to learn and be certified at multiple work stations
· Keeps a clean and well maintained workspace. (For example: clean floor space, labled bins, proper handling of tooling, part management, proper labeling)
· Notifies supervisor or maintenance personnel of any tool damage or repair required
Training:
· Reference OJT
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to work in a standing position for scheduled work hours
· Must be able to properly lift 40 lbs
